Zenus Ferry Moody was an Oregon merchant and Governor, 1882-1887. He operated a business in The Dalles and surveyed the Umatilla Indian reservation. He married Mary Stephenson in 1853 and they had five children: Zenus A., Ralph E., Drusilla and Malcolm A. Moody, who later served on The Dalles city council, 1885-1889, The Dalles mayor, 1884-1893, and as Oregon Representative to U.S. COngress, 1899-1903.
